I’ve found that some of the patterned heat transfer vinyl can be difficult when cutting a fine design because the carrier sheet is not very sticky at all. You’ve got to be extra careful with little pieces of your design that could easily be pulled away by mistake. I measured the space between the larger stars and found a way to repeat the pattern in a visually pleasing way. I used Cricut’s Foil HTV which is a favorite of mine for baby items as you’ll see. Then click the green ‘Make It’ button in the top corner. The next screen allows you to review your design and also tells you how much material you need to make the design. If you need to adjust the size, hit cancel to go back and resize the design.

When the cut is finalized, unload the mat and bend it to release the infusible ink sheet. Cover design with parchment paper to protect your Onesie. Usually, you will require more heat presses with the regular Iron, and it may get burned spots. Place easypress on top of the design and press for 30 seconds. Every time we use iron-on vinyl, we need to turn mirror-on.
I typically prefer either the Carter’s brand or Gerber. Carter’s seems to work better for skinnier babies as the style is longer and leaner. Gerber also has really cute pajamas, and you can personalize one of the sides. To download the file, you NEED to be on a desktop or laptop, and you must click on the button to trigger a download file on your pc.
